Rosettes in a frame

A few years ago - ok actually like 12 years ago - my aunt Kathleen taught my mother and me how to make flower roses. She used them to decorate her period piece costumes that she would sew. This woman is a seamstress!!

Anyway. I have taken the rosettes to heart, and the other day took some old frames, silk fabrics, and other assorted fabrics, and came up with some framed art. Crafts. Roses. Not really sure. I have mine sitting on a shelf in my "butler's pantry." It's shabby chic - I think.

I made this one for me as a test. I like it.
